Hi
so i am making a blue mod
only blue leds so i have some questions smile.gif

1. Where do i get the power(direct from the P.S. or i can get it from MB )
2. so i whant to make blue so i will have blue fan leds + blue cathod can it be that the blue ist different and looks not so good?
3.can i use special led lamps i will post a pic at the end smile.gif
4. how many leds are the maximum?
5. how much Volt shoud i use?
6. i whant to make the box light from the sites in blue are there any problems in that?
7. How many volts is the original fan? 12?
8. where do i get the best jewel? http://www.xport1.com/? or gust PM me smile.gif
9. Xbox Jewels acrylic coloure whats the difference betwen
UV Blue and Blue Mirror?(pics someone?)

1) Power direct from PS
2) I dont deal with cathods...
3) Use super brights.
4) As many as you can fit...
5) Use the 5V PS lead with resistors.
6) No problems, would look good i think.
7) Orig. fan is 7V, if you want 12V you need to hook the black wire to the metal shielding or the PS negative...

The original fan runs off of PWM (pulse width modulation) which means its speed is controlled by varying the application and so its speed is contantly changing depending on the temperature, this might make your fan LEDs look a little strange.

if you know what voltage they need you're fine.just power them correctly and they'll work

those are called "festoon" bulbs

they're typically used in cars for the dome and map lights (so they're typically 12Volt)

I have a couple of these in the dome light in my car... not nearly as bright as the incandessant lights they replace but it's the only way to get the nice electric blue in that type of fixture.....

you'd be better of just using normal blue leds as the festoon type led bulbs are like $10 a pop and not very bright.
