Do anybody know how to play DivX files from a CD on a Xbox? Or how do I copy the DivX file from a CD onto a Xbox hard drive?

I have Xbox Media Player but I can't seem to access the DivX file from the CD on the Xbox drive.

Help please!

The CD has to be burnt in UDF or xISO form (there's also
some ISO format I don't remember), and if you've got
an Xbox 1.0, it can't read CD-R's. But it works with CD-RW,
DVD-R and DVD-RW. If you want the movie on your HDD,
you should FTP to it, Xbox Media Player has got an built in FTP server.
Read some tutorials about it, and the stickied posts here.

You can also access them via a SMB (Windows file share). Just activate file sharing on a directory in Windows and enter the appropriate path into the xbmp config.xml file:

where "workgroup" is the networking workgroup assigned to your computer (in Windows "System" Control Panel, "mycomp" is your computer's name, and 'video' is the name of the shared directory.
