Quickcam And Webcam Communication

does anyone here have any expierence with webcams? i want to know if it is worth it for me to buy 2 cameras to communicate with distant family.....they are on a university network.....and i have cable at home.......what can i expect?

Video/audio should be good then. Of course you'll probally experiance some lag, but shouldnt be bad.
I say go for it.

Webcams are working good, I'm using a Logitech quickcam.
It works just fine with MSN Messenger 6.0, but Yahoo
and AOL should also work well. And it's not too expensive nowadays. Just get one.
