I just upgraded my HD to a 160 gig. Everything went fine and I transfered the contents of my original C: to my new C:

Rebooted the xbox, and everything still works fine.

Then, I tried to reflash with an 4977 with LBA48 support. So it flashes and auto-shuts off. Now I go to turn it back on, and it turns on for about a second, shuts off, turns on for a second again, shuts off, then turns on to a FRAG.

I'm desperate for help if anyone knows where I went wrong!

Thats what I was thinking the problem was. I hooked up the original hard drive, and it did the same thing with the chip enabled. Then I loaded up with it disabled and the MS dash loaded but asked for the time. Then switched it back to enabled and it still did it. Good thing I have a buddy with a programmer. I'll have to get that from him.

It won't read a cd with the chip enabled. Already tried. wink.gif

It shuts off and then frags before it will read a cd.

hosed: To be wasted, rendered non functional, or corrupt.

Basically, if his BIOS is bad then slayers won't work for him because he can't get far enough to read the DVD drive.
