Alright.. so I have been talking about the ALL-WHITE paintjob for a while now, because it looks so cool and it's my favorite type of paintjob.

I went to Wal-Mart and got a can of WHITE Krylon Fusion paint. My spare Xbox case arrived a few days earlier, props to kennedy0218 for that.
I set up under the carport. That way I wouldn't have to paint inside, and no leaves would fall on the box.
See those two water drips on the case? Well I didn't, not until I started painting.

The first coat went on really well, and I was greatly helped by PhantomX's Painting Tips For Newbies

After that I stopped taking pictures of the painting process so I could fully concentrate on what I was doing.

All in all, the paintjob turned out very well. Two tiny fruitflies landed on the case while I was painting. mad.gif I painted over then the best I could, and they are only noticable upon close examination. Those two waterdrops I mentioned above also left tiny marks, which are hard to see as well.

In the top of this pic you can kind of see where one of the water drops was.

Good grill painting

There is the SMALLEST amount of "pooling" visible in the controller numbers, but again, you have to look close.

Foolishly.. I picked up the case while it was drying. You can see on the left side of the front panel, some finger marks on the very corner. Also, South-West of port #1 is where one of the fruit flies landed.

Overall I am very happy with the results!! I did not use clear coat, so I hope my paint stays on well. As you can see, I only painted the top and front panels of the case. You never see the bottom or the back anyways, so why paint them?

^This pic is taken on "the painting stool", which is a very old paint covered stool in my garage smile.gif

I would love to get some feedback on this!!

rahula - as mentioned in the post, I used white Krylon Fusion paint.

gamingguru - I am not sure if this is going to "replace" my other one.. maybe I will just keep it for a while, or sell it. Who knows!! Post a link for me to see your new mods smile.gif

Don't have pics yet.

I put two 4in cold cathodes under the drilled out fins.

And added led under the front panel, with two different modes.

Mode 1:two leds on the corners shining towards each other.
Mode 2:10 leds shining towards you.(nice ground effect) smile.gif

nice sig.

It's interesting to know that our xbox's can do pretty much all that the psx can do, except for play the psx games, of course.

I thought of something else today spongebob could have said instead (too bad i think of these things after it's all said and done)

"Hey Patrick. What's the difference between a $720 PSX and a $720 hooker?"

"The hooker is worth the money!"

Kinda stupid, but mildy amusing.

wouldnt it be possible to gently sand and repaint the water marks?

Im not a painter but it seems to me that a fine paper and a few back and forth motions would do the trick.
