since i didnt want to reopen my 616t to desoldier the headphone jack and volume knob, i sat looking at it. slipping a knife carefully under the volume knob makes it easily pop off its unit. ...1 down... the headphone jack was a tiny bit trickier. it is plastic, i slid the small snips of my tiny leatherman around it and cut out a few notches. easy stuff. then used the snips to cut each notch off. its perfectly level with the front of the drive now. im not talking about the WHOLE headphone jack..just the front part...its plastic and easily cutable.

just a tip...
