Okay, i installed an x 2.2 lite for a friend's xbox ver. 1.1 with a flash of x2 4977 on both banks. I used slayer's 2.1 and the mod works great when on. When i try to turn the switch off, the evox dash boots up. Ms dash won't boot normally. What could be wrong?

Could be the switch, I have the other way around, it won't boot the 4977 bios, the led turns on but not the chip. I replaced it with a 2.0pro and it works great, so my guess is the switch. How can we fix it, I don't know, still waiting for the answer.

if you just want to get in the MS dash you can do it from the evox dash. don't help the live gaming but if you need to get the audio och wide screen setup it works

you have a dry track between the gray wire and the ground wire in between the switch - simple solder a wire between the points.

I have a 2.2 pro with the exact same problem - the chip cannot be disabled, even with the switch in the off position?

Ubergeek, could you possibly provide any details on how I might be able to fix this?
It used to work correctly for awhile, but now it cannot be disabled.
Could it be a problem with the external switch piece? uhh.gif
Thank You!! biggrin.gif

Same problem here, was working fine until a few days ago and now it won't boot disabled. Switch on or off I still boot into 4977.

I've got a 2.2 pro that won't shut off - the led shuts off, but not the chip... luckily, I don't use live...

Mines probably 5 weeks - 6 weeks old as well - If there's an easy fix I'd be interested, otherwise, my next mod will be a chameleon , there's way too much crap hanging off my xbox with the x2 anyway.
