Try flashing through your PC. (Do the X2.2Lite's use LPT?) Just for your first flash, then you can flash though EvoX or however.
(I'm still old school with first BIOS flashing tongue.gif)

What bios are you trying to use? Follow this tutorial, just do not use the cromwell bios, replace with the one of your choice: http://www.system-mo...view=42&lang=en
It worked fine for me, there is also a good link to determine the brand of your dvd drive. That way you can tell what dvd medium is best.

name the disc BIOSFLASHCD or something like that, it says it in one of the tutorials and make sure you fill up like 400-500 megs.

ok thanx im working on making the new cdrw now the other tuts never said that the mounting file had to be a certain size so that might have been my problem so now using the tut from system mods ive got the 2 mount files and they are 192mb each so i souldnt have any problems

and as for what bios im tryin to use its 4977 darkblue Noani 256k

oh yea and is there a difference between the colors of the bios like in the darkblue, orange, red, ect if no diff. why is there the different color names?

do the mounting files have to be in a folder or are they supposed to be in the root directory?
Ive been having a hard time getting an answer to this question. biggrin.gif

from what i understand the mounting files have to be a .zip or .rar file so i guess youd say yes needs to be in a archive folder (.rar or .zip)

I understand that part, but what I mean is-when you are in nero and you have your three files (aaa.zip, bios.bin and zzz.zip) are you supposed to create a NEW folder in the cd rom directory for aaa.zip and zzz.zip and put the bios.bin in the ROOT directory by itself. OR are all 3 files supposed to go in the root directory?

1.THIS:

FLASHBIOS(name of cd)
--->dummyspace folder(containing aaa.zip and zzz.zip)
bios.bin(in root directory (not in a folder))

2.OR THIS:

FLASHBIOS(name of cd)
aaa.zip
bios.zip
zzz.zip
(all in root directory (not in a folder))

Which on is correct?

Thanks, ive read a bunch of different tutorials and some say different things (like you have to have a folder for your dummy space (which doesnt make sense if it only reads bios.bin anyway), burn using DISK AT ONCE (instead of track at once), and a bunch of other conflicting info. But I'll use this method. Thanks for the response biggrin.gif
