Im looking at getting a 160 gb Maxtor 7200rpm.

Anyone know if the ol' XBIT will lock this bitch, I want to lock it so it functions like the original drive.

If there is a list of drives that have been tested as lockable, point me in the direction and I'll get out of your way cool.gif

being lockable is a feature of the hard drive, NOT the modchip, you use a bit of software (ConfigMagic or you can use evox now to lock it) so it doesnt matter what chip you have

as i recall the maxtor 7200rpm over 80gb are all lockable, but dont quote me on that

here is the incredible difficult to use list...
