Ftp Problem Searched And Still No Answer

i have no idea why this happened...i have never had any problems ftp'ing into my box...but today it wont connect at all....can someone please tell me what had gotten changed...

my pc settings when i ipconfig are
ip adress=192.168.0.1
subnet mast=255.255.255.0,
and default gateway is blank.......

my evox settings are
use static ip=yes
ip=192.168.0.2
line status=100/full duplex
subnet mask=255.255.255.0
default gateway=128.206.137.254
dns=0.0.0.0
dns=0.0.0.0
ftp enable=yes

i am using a patch cable from my pc directly to my xbox...any help would b greatly appreciated...thanx in advance

If you are going directly from your PC to your Xbox you need to use a crossover cable, not a patch cable.

Give that link a shot. I think you might need to change your default gateway.

ok heres where im at now...when i connect to my xbox using smartftp i get this

for one, make sure you delete that gateway you had in the evox.ini
second, maybe you should try a different ftp client like flashfxp and disable pasv in it.

if you want, smartftp should work but look in the help for how to disable pasv in that as well.

and verify you have no firewall running on your computer at the time even if its the default winxp one.

erased the gateway...dissabled pasv....even swapped out the crossover to make sure it wasnt bad...and still nothing works

any firewalls running? and post your new connection log then... i shouldn't see pasv not implemented in it.
