alright. Im gonna put this here because im not sure where to put it.. Im hoping this is the right place.

I have an xecuter 2.2 lite
120 gig hard drive(locked)
Evox dashboard

The problem im having is..
I can't boot back to the original MS dashboard.
My evox.ini file seems to be correct.

---
MSDashBoard = "c:msxboxdash.xbe"

then down further..

Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash
---

When I try to boot ms dashboard trough evox. I get error 21.
Then.. with the modchip disabled..
I get error 13.

Im really not sure what to do..
I've looked through the tutorials and couldn't find anything regarding this issue.
If anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

read an updated tutorial. you ms dash should be xboxdash.xbe and your evoxdash should be evoxdash.xbe
otherwise if msft ever updates it'll hose your evox dash all the time.

Did this just start happening? Or could you never do it? It started happening to me a while back, so I just wrote over the C: partition with the original backup of the drive that I made when I first chipped it and dropped evox on it....worked fine then.

A-T-S,
it's MSDashBoard = "c:xboxdash.xbe"

Do you recommend I try MSDashBoard = "C://xboxdash.xbe"

?

Thread titles like "Question" and "Help" dont get much attention.
You dont need to start a new thread to point out an old thread, simply "bump" your old thread by replying to it.

To answer your question, restore your backup of the C drive. A game most likely tried to patch your ms dash, and could only do half of it since the xbe was named wrong.
