Just so you know, I am as much a newbie as anyone can be!
I just recently installed Evolution-X with this:

http://users.skynet....ials/pdf/02.pdf
only I used evolution-X v1.8.2812 instead of v1.8.2594, with the 2.5 BIOS.

Here's my problem: I load up the evolutio-x dashboard go to system utils and discover there's a topic there called flash BIOS. I press on it and come to a screen where it says EvoX 2.5. Allright... I press A, then this messege comes up
MANUFACTURERS ID 09 Device ID 00 !!Unknown flash type!!

Nothing happens after that. I just return to the evoxdash.

Have I done something wrong while installing it?

So what's the problem?

This is normal.

Which Mod chip do you have?

Oh, did not know that. Thank you for letting me know I'm complete idiot.

I have an Enigmah chip installed.

Nest problem, I want to install a new HD.
Do I just do it following the tutorials on xbox-scene or do I have to flash the BIOS (which I'm guessing are not flashed) somehow.

Thanks

You cant flash the enigmah bios at all.
Its bios does not support HDD swap.

Your only solutions are:
--to install a new modchip with flashable bios or a bios that supports HDD swap
-- to flash your TSOP which i wouldnt do, but its up to you.

If you look here you can see what the final enigmah is capable of
