Is there possible to drag music files into the xbox with FTP/ a cdrw and then use them as custom soundtracks when you are playing games?
If there is, do I have to make the files into a certaing format or something?

I was wondering that myself.
The files ripped with m$ dash have *.wma extensions, but whether theyre just renamed *.wav files I don't know.

Maybe the m$ dash does some on the fly encoding, but it seems too quick.

I'll investigate if no one else sheds any more light on the matter.

Premliminary investigations have revealed that they are indeed 128 kbps, 44.1 khz windows media audio v8.

The filenaming convention needs further research though.
