Alright, for some reason, my stupid thompson (got a 616T on the way biggrin.gif ) all of the sudden wont read any cd-rw's. I'm not trying to burn new ones or anything, but it won't boot the ones that i have burned and that have worked before. It's like all of the sudden the drive is shittier than it already was. Before i had to turn the box off 2-3 times and it would boot everytime, now i turn the box on/off about 100 times and it doesn't boot once. Any help here?

Pot tweak?

hah. i forgot to mention that i had to do the pot tweak all the way to 850 ohm for my dumb thompson to even read cd-rw's in the first place.

gamarsedge: Do you think the pot tweak is part of the reason why my laser is dying out?
