Hard Drive Lagging

I have a 180 Gigabyte 7200 rpm Hard drive(and my bios has the LBA Patch) and it is lagging. It is about 45% full and it's lagging enough to where my WMV files and music videos are getting choppy. What can I do about this? This is so fusterating...please help.

how is it laggy. when you play files? does it occur at a certain posisiton on the hdd? did it always do this? how old is the hdd?

I have this same prob i have a 120 gig hd and not even 40% full and during any game it will sometimes lagg the game wont stop the graphics will just stick a little. Not sure what the problem could be but i know it isnt the IGR's.
