Dual Fan Hd Cooler In Xbox?
Posted 14 November 2003 - 06:29 PM
I was surfing the internet the other day and came across one of these dual fan hard drive cooler.
you just screw it under the hard drive
the thickness is about 15mm to 17mm depending in the manifacture than produces it.
I was thinking to maybe cutting the buttom of the hd tray and have this in the xbox
hot air out of the hd, and bonus when it cools down...air blowing to partiel heatsink of the cpu and the power supply.
MY REAL QUESTION is do U think it will fit, maybe it would touch the power supply and make it spark
what do U guys think

it did fit, but I had to cut the hole bottom of the hd tray.
and even installed a 7-12v swith.
it works great, now my hdd is always under 21-22C
I do not suggest using the one with 2 fans, cause it will probably not fit,
unless you push the hard drive higher than it regular positon
