I was building a modded xbox for a friend.

I did a TSOP flash with x2 4977 on a V1.3 xbox.

It all went well and then I used slayers to get the common apps installed.

After that I copied over the latest versions of the apps/dash etc from my xbox (which is a V1.1) to the newly modded V1.3 xbox.

After this when I power on the xbox it powers on and off twice and then FRAGs.

If I press the eject button while it is FRAG ing then it boots correctly into my XBMP dash.

I thought that my last action of copying the dash from the V1.1 xbox to the V1.3 was a bad idea so I used Slayers to restore the MSdash on the V1.3 box again. But I still have the FRAG on boot till I press the eject.

Any ideas?

On further investigation it seems the problem is related to the clock. On power up the clock has a bogus value. If I try to set the clock using the msdash and then power up the clock is still off.

If I use XBWatch to sync the time and restart the time is ok on the first boot and the xbox powers up and boots into xbmp normally. After the first boot if i power off and on the time is once again bogus and i get the FRAG on boot.

Any ideas why this is happeninng?
