If you keep getting disconnected from the usual places because of the size of your wanted download and you only have a phone line connection and/ or you dont have DVD burner or cant figure out Torrent files, Then try this out. It worked great for me. biggrin.gif

From the usual places get a copy of;

1. Evox new HD installer.
2. Your favorite Evox dashboard.
3. Updated versions of the apps you want.
4. Your favorite Bioses.

The original new HD loader is kind of outdated so you WILL want to update it.

You will also need these programs you can get normally.

1. Craxton. (iso maker)
2. Some type of RAR unzip program.
3. Nero CD burner program.
4. You already have something like SmartFTP and mIRC.

You will also need some sort of a brain. This usually can be found at any nearby Mortuary.
If you dont have this then stop here and forget you read any of this.

After you have all the goods, just swap out the dash and apps and add anything else you want. ONLY BOTHER WITH WHAT WILL BE SAVED TO THE HD NOT THE DASH RUNNING THE INSTALL.
Make your ini. changes. Make your iso and burn it. After you burn it delete the iso off your compurter so you dont get mixed up in the later steps or maybe just use dif iso names. Use the disk to boot up and ftp your xbox for your original C drive files. Save them to your computer. (this is why this program is fast and easy to get because its a small download without xbox files and it will all fit on a CDRW when your done.) When you have the original C drive files, put them in the C drive folder of the evox new HD installer you had before making an iso and burning to disk.
Now make the new iso that includes your original xbox C drive files. Make sure your updated dash to be saved to HD is named what it is. Not default.xbe. default.xbe should only be used on the dash doing the HD preping from the cd. (its already what it should be so dont fuck with it.)
Burn it. Pop your new hard drive in. Pop the disk in. You can figure out he rest.

P.S. Be faithful and stick with Evolutionx (evox) This would not be posible without all the evox people. beerchug.gif

MXM makes it easy.

Put MXM (as default.xbe) on a CD or DVD, along with directories CDrive, EDrive, FDrive, and possibly GDrive, and run the disk on an Xbox with a new HD.

It will prompt you automatically to format and restore the contents of each of those directories to the appropriate drives.

It really can't get more simple than that... but for more complex install disks, ActionScripting is far more complete with Media X Menu (MXM), and includes media patching, file reading/writing and many more features.
