I currently use Pixel8's vga bios, the problem is you have to rename evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe for the bios to recognize evox. Renaming the original xboxdash.xbe makes it impossible to turn off the modchip and run off the original bios for xbox live. Now I have heard with the tatx bios you don't need to do this swoping with the .xbe's. In the instructions of the TATX vga bios it says that all I need to do is put a text file string called dashboard.xbx in the e: drive containing this:

Device/Harddisk0/Partition2;evoxdash.xbe

for the tatx bios to recognize evox.

I did this and it makes no difference. The only way i can get both pixel8's and the tatx vga bios to work is if i rename the evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe.

Arakon, thelameone, anyone, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Foe-

When i made the text string containing: Device/Harddisk0/Partition2;evoxdash.xbe, and put it in the e: drive, i just used wordpad to make it. Maybe this is where i screwed up? Should I have used another program to create the text file? Anyone?
