Does anyone know of some type of device that is simmilar to the XBox Live headset that will work for communications? When my buddies and I get together for a big LAN game of Halo, we are generally in different rooms so communications between teams is out of the question. We want some kind of headset so we can team communicate with each other. The only thing that I can think of is getting a hands-free kit for a cell phone and just calling each other. But that is difficult and only allows 2 player chat. Headsets for radios won't work either because we have no free hands to press talk.

Does anyone use anything that works well? Thanks for any input.

There is no voice communication support for Halo.

X-Link, the online tunneling service, has some support for voice, but you will need to use your PC.

Thus, moving this to X-Link board..

I know it may sound like a dumb idea.

But have you ever though about using a Baby monitor.

I don't think that there is 2 way communication through those. You can only hear from the reciever but can't talk back.

I don't understand why this was moved to x-link since this has nothing to do with online gaming? I'm not talking about voice support for halo that hooks up to controllers. I'm asking if there is any type of third party tool that can do this. Such as some type of hands free radio. Something that was not intended for gaming use but for communication use. Perhaps I'm not making myself clear but I don't know how else to describe it.

Im sure there are 2 way versions...

... but i think that one way you may need to press a button

Parent -> child.

the other way would be noise activated

Child -> parent

Maybe the walkie-talkies designed for family use have hands free, voice activated headsets.
