welcome!
those circly thingies are also known as jewels. Check here for some bad-ass ones.

Also, EvoX isn't hard - just read through the tutorials, you'll get it all figured out no problem.

Yeah guys I appreciate it... although im buying my xbox from a site that will put the chip on for me, but i think its a ripoff, although for sure it has these stats :

10gb hd
samsung dvd thing
xecuter 2.3 lite

for like $289.00 -.-

if u ask me, that sounds a bit expensive... but i dont wanna mess up my new xbox trying to solder, also whatever that d0, it sounds scary

nah, do it yourself and save 50 bucks. Besides, it's more fun that way.

Yeah, that does seem a bit high. Oh, and welcome. The Samsung drive automatically makes that xbox more desireable though...one thing to consider. They go for $100 all the time...just for the drive.

You really could do it yourself though. If you can't solder then d/l the schematic and take it to an electronics shop. Hit the phonebook and you'll find one that will prolly do it for $10-20. Everything past that is a breeze. It may seem confusing when you don't have your xbox in front of you. Once you've got it in front of you and hooked up to your computer then things are a snap.

I second the motion to get a bigger hdd and not that case. Trust me, you'll find yourself wanting a bigger one down the line (sounds like a line from some of that annoying spam jester.gif )

You can quickly start filling up space with vid clips, emus, homebrew, music, and skins (mxm skins can get pretty large although they are more than worth it...cool ass dashboard). The new UnleashX is very nice too.

Don't be afraid to ask if you have questions...just make sure to search a bit before asking. I'd hate to see ya get muhaha.gif

Good luck

Thanks Fezz, haha, I guess your right, u see my cousin (9 yrs old) has an xbox, but he's pretty smart, ne way i wus playing Halo and counter-strike with him, although cs for the xbox is not as fun as the real, pc version... anyway that made me want an xbox smile.gif so far i have $89.00 saved up... not much but i still have $280.00 to get from my grandma hehe, i still dont see why I would need a big harddrive, all i wanna do is play a few back up games, play either xbox live or xbconnect, i dont wanna put like actual games on there, pictures, thats what my pc is for hehe.

If you do want a custom jewel let me also recommend shop.craxtion.com. LepPpeR did a great job on my jewel. Check out reviews and pics here:

http://forums.xbox-s...T&f=37&t=109718

You can see my jewel on the second page. He did that for me with a custom font that I provided him. The pictures don't do it justice, it's great looking.
