Well one thing is sure. It might be awhile before any of us go online using a backup disk (or whatever you may call it) with xbox live.

1. Get XBConnect http://www.xbconnect.com/ from here.

Then you can play any game you like as long as it has system link..
however there is some disadvantages. You have to play someone with
a high bandwidth connection. However its completly free. Not sure about
other things like live talk but hey... its an alternative while we wait
to see what happends with mod chips and xbox live.

P.S. i am not trying to advertise or anything... just trying to help out
if you dont know about xbconnect give it a shot. I think they are also
working on support voice chat and stuff just like live. but hey its free
and it works

hope this helps laterz

Not trying to downplay game spy or anything but the one little problem with gamespy in my opinion is that it also has all those other games that dont even relate to the xbox. I actually found xbconnect to be very user friendly and not advertisements. You have to pay 20 to get rid of them with gamespy. Yes you have the option to pay for xbconnect as well for a pro version. However the regular version is free of charge and you can still play other players. I would recommend trying gamespy and xbconnect and decide for your selfs.

www.xbconnect.com &

those are the two links to the two. try it out your self and see which one you like

nice guy. CRACK GAMESPY. there is a crack that makes you like a registered user. you have unlimited buddy list, and no ads.

gamespy is very good looking and user friendly. and there are more xbox players on there, and they're not all fucked up. the place isn't filled with all halo servers. people play other games there. also, gamespy supports ALL system-link games!
