I've been getting into skinning MXM but I noticed that all off the skins I've made and tried that have moving Backgrounds have choppy sound for my preview trailers.

Is there a fix for this or am I just going crazy again.

PS: The sound is fine on all other skins

Yeah I've noticed this too, I think it has something to do with how the xbox's memory can't handle the background and the preview videos. I guess this can be fixed though in the next release.

This is solely a bandwidth issue - not really "fixable" - the more bandwidth, the more difficult it is for the hard drive (and ESPECIALLY the DVD-ROM drive) to keep up with the demand for data. The solution is to reduce the bandwidth used for your videos.

The "choppiness" I **WILL** be fixing has to do with internal memory allocation of overly large images.

It's probably the bitrate your videos are encoded at (shouldn't be more than 300kbps)
And keep skin backgrounds within 700 kbps, at the very most

Or, your hard drive could be dying.

Yes... my dev box drive has been dying for some time. Eventually, I'll get around to replacing it (I have a 120GB for that), but the load times can be atrocious.
