just hook up the original RCA yellow video connector to the TV that came with your xbox.

the XBox will detect the original video cable and default back to 480i permenantly.

OK. This should be the solution assuming that your Xbox is NOT modded.

1. Turn on your Xbox with everything connected (HD pack as well) as per normal.

You will have to fly blind here so follow this carefully as I paint a picture for you.

2. The MS Dash will be show up (not on your screen though). There will be three options in a menu. Memory - Music - Settings. Music will be highlighted so push DOWN ONCE on your D-pad and press A to select SETTINGS.

3. Your Settings menu will consist of Clock - Language - Audio - Video - Auto Off - System Info. Clock will be highlighted so push DOWN 3 TIMES on your D-pad and press A to select VIDEO.

4. Your Video menu will consist of Video Mode - 480P- 720P - 1080i. Video Mode will be highlighted so push DOWN ONCE on your D-pad and press A to select 480P.

5. The 480P will be asking the question "Does your HDTV support 480P resolution?" Below this are the options: Yes - No. YES is the option that will be highlighted on your Xbox so push RIGHT ONCE on your D-pad and press A to select NO.

6. Turn off your xbox and then turn it on. Everything should be fine now.

7. Don't ever enable HDTV resolutions unless your TV supports it. I did exactly the same thing with my modded Xbox and it was only pure luck that I got out of it.

That's weird. EvoX is 480p compatible.
