I've been looking at different versions of linux to install and I've narrowed it down to Red Hat/Fedora, Slackware and college linux. I'm just going to use this computer to download from the internet and I need something that is stable. So based on that which do you think is the best for me? Thanks

I've tried both RedHat and Slackware. Use RedHat if you want an easy installation. Slackware had me puzzled for a bit since I was running it using VirtualPC, but once I got it installed I thought it was quite nice. Both are good choices in my opinion, you really can't go wrong.
