Hey everyone I just got a new seagate 80GB HDD and I installed it in my Xbox (v1.0). I made my Evox(not sure what version) boot disc with the dummy file but when my xbox starts to read the disc it always pops up error 07 and I was wondering if anyone can tell me and help me with my problem.

error 07 - HDD timeout.

something might be wrong with your HDD. make sure your cables are in properly and see if that works. if not, try putting the original HDD back in the box and see what happens.

Error 7 indicates a HD timeout. Make sure ur jumpers are set to cable select. If this doesnt fix ur problem, then u may just have a bad HD.
