M$ Dash... With Xbmp On It
Posted 12 January 2004 - 11:38 AM
However, it occurs to me that alot of the exploits for Phoenix, EvoX, and Linux can be manipulated and combined.
You can have a Linux option in the M$ ash. It will run without EvoX.
Therefore... You must be able to Have an XBMP option in the M$ Dash.
And an "Emu-Roms" option which lets you boot NES / MAME Emulators
So My Xbox Dash can be: Memory
Thus I can boot with a Game in the Drive and play the game straight off.... I can boot with a Vorbis CD in the drive and have nothing at all happen - until I load XBMP, where I can play it.
Ideally I could have a fifth option of "Linux" which would let me manage the Xbox harddisk without having to FTP 24/7.
Anyhow you can see what I'm trying to do.
Now I don't get how, and I aint gonna until someone shows me why things work cos I've tried

(one of the reason's to mod an xbox is to get away from that stupid dash. sure its has animations and nice movements but so what that doesnt cut it for me.)

I want the M$ Dash. Hacked or otherwise.
It's the only one which can boot no worries everytime, no issues with clocks, bugs, anything.
WTF would I want a "posh" dash. All the damn thing does is open other stuff

Read some history and you see why Lindows CEO offered $100,000 prize for anyone to run Linux on xbox unmodified and how xbox was finally cracked.
