Any hub will probably work fine. There's nothing complicated about a hub that you would have to set up or anything. The only thing to consider is whether to get the 10 Mb or 100 Mb. Obviously the 100 will allow a faster connection, although it will probably not make a bit of difference in your in-home gaming. You WOULD notice a difference in transferring files to your xbox from your PC however, but you may not even care about that too much. Go buy the cheapest one you can find. If you hate it, return it.

If you have the materials, you could always consider making a crossover cable for an even cheaper alternative. Consider it your second xbox-related hack! Not only did you stick it to MS, now you are sticking it to LynkSys out of a sale by your own ingenuity! You go! beerchug.gif

For whatever reason, there is a problem with playing a burnt copy and a regular copy...

I think you need BOTH originals for the connection to happen in game...

Just a thought..

with the hub, a 10MB one wil do fine if you are just using it for xbox as the xbox network thingy only works at 10MB, but if you are gonna use it for pc to pc aswell then get a 100MB one, its worth the extra $

If you are just trying to connect two xbox's, I would recommend just buying a crossover cable for $5 at Radioshack.

The trick is finding one long enough. Presumably the XBs are in seperate rooms. If you could find one of those, it wouldn't be $5 anymore.

Very true...but to buy a router and all the cables is at least 30 bucks.
