well if it is hozed your only option is a 29 wire mod or sell it off and cut your losses. I'd buy it if you were going to sell it. Or I have a 29 wire mod I've been dieing to test out if you want me to try to fix it I can.

If your not able to still boot using gamesave then, you are going to have to reboot. Otherwise before trying to deal with 29-wire mod, first unsolder or pick off conductive material and re-bridge the points (solder or conductive) and try again. Make sure you are using the right M7 256 bios as well. I'm not saying desoldering or picking off the material is the answer but, I have found that to work sometimes before spending thte time on the 29 wire trick.

What were you using to flash with and what bios? Were you soldering or using conductive material?

sounds like the pen's line broke or gave up at end of first flash.....
(hence it said unknown device on 2nd attempt)

not enough conductive ink or didn't dry properly in time for flashing

what a bitch of a thing to happen - mod-chip for a quick fix

or a 29 wire mod to revive ya hosed tsop

sorry to hear that - I was thinking of trying the conductive pen method but I think I stick to my soldering iron

best of luck

I don't know why anyone uses a conductive pen, when conductive grease is so much safer and easier to use! Silver conductive grease makes a much better connection then the pen.

I keep a syringe of this at work, and if anyone ever wants their TSOP flashed I can do it in 5 minutes without my soldering iron! I've never had a connection problem with it yet.

The conductive grease also works well for closing the bridges on Athlon CPU's.

Thanks,
Mike
