I'm just wondering how EvoX knows when to output in 480p mode. With the MS Dash you specify which modes your TV supports and it outputs it when playing a supported game. I've read that the EvoX dash is progressive, unlike the MS dash, so what I'm wondering is, does it always enable 480p when it's running through component? Reason I ask is because I have my Xbox going through component, but not on an HD TV (just a Wega). I don't want any unneccessary strain on my TV by running progressive when it doesn't support it. Thanks for the assistance.

it knows how to run in progressive because it takes the settings from the ms dash
so as long as those settings are set right you should be fine
