Is it possible to swap out the dvdrom drive and install an additional hard drive using a power cable y-splitter. And if so, will evoX recognize the drive?

It can be done but only one drive can have power at a time.. They both cannot have power at the same time..

ALso you need to use a bios that will ignore the DVD missing.

If you search you'll find it.

Are you sure you can't run both drives at the same time? I want to copy data from one drive to another.

I have tried ghosting the drive (they are both 120GB and use "ghost.exe -ir") but the source (Maxtor) drive is slightly larger than the destination (Seagate).

Any ideas on methods of migrating data? I'd love to be able to do it from my PC.
