Hey, just looking for some advice on repainting my box that already has whitepaint and like, 3 layers of clearcoat wink.gif

would i just be wasting my time? .. and just get a new case?

I had a bunch of layers of Gloss Aluminum, if you sand it down with the black sandpaper until it's smooth again, you should be ok, but color wise it'd vary, mine is dull silver to chrome (ill post pics when it's all done) so i didnt need to worry too much about it

sand it down a little and prime it and paint it agian i guess...


i did it 3 times to my PS2 after my TV FELL on it after the 2nd color

first it was red then blue now the white is drying right now.

just dump a gallon of paint thinner on that bitch and rub away

you can sand it but if you have too much paint in the indentations on the side they begin to fill up and look like shit you can sand the x and it will look fine dont use paint stripper it will melt the plastic im in the process of using auto body filler to fill up the intentations on the sides Im gonna c how it looks all nice an smooth hopefully it will look a bit more clean then it does now.

so paint thinner isnt a good idea for the sides?... what esle can you use?, cause you cant sand it

Yes, people have tried and at huge costs...it destroys the case plastic

Sand paper is your best bet
