I don't know if this is a n00b chat question or not, but i'm a n00b, and i'm asking a question! I'm using a LPT programmer and Xecuter Bios Manger v1.1. It allows me to erase my chip. I've followed the instructions in a tutorial that i've found. When I import the 256k file 4 times in XBM (4980.67), it will let me save the bios.bin file. When I try to write the bios.bin file to the chip, it will go all the way to 100% and then prompts the error "Verification FAILED at 000000: Read [00] Expecting [09]" Any and all help will be appreciated, if this problem is reported somewhere else in the forum, I couldn't find it as the search is unavailable.

Thanks again.

I tried the chip with the verification errors and still nothing, no matter what combination I have the switches on, it loads up like the original dash, and then takes me to the service error. I've tried everything I can think of to NOT get the verification errors, anyone have some suggestions?

1) get newest xb2m 2) get newest x2 bios (4981) or even use 4979 like i did, but skip 4980

Ok, just a quick update.

Now that i'm using the newest version of x2bm, it will not detect my chip on the programmer...
