A friend just gave me a brand new xbox for my bday(!) but it has no games included. Being totally out of spare cash at the moment I don't want to buy any.

I found a bunch of these xbox games on bit torrent and IRC and downloaded them to check em out. BTW, I'm not a clueless idiot, I know how to burn disks, I've tried craxtion, and I've read and followed all the guides I could find on burning xbox isos.

However none of the disks I've burned will play on the xbox - invalid media - so my question is - do I need a modchip installed to play a burned game DVD??? Hope not coz I haven't got cash for one of them either! Thanks

Hi there,

Read thru the "GameSave Exploit" Forum Link.

It is possible but you have to read read and read.

Hope that helps... biggrin.gif

no modchip is needed, people just put them in for fun. And don't talk about piracy here.

A modchip is the preffered way to play backups. You can also flash your TSOP(onboard bios) with various hacks.
