Want A Buy A New Pc Dvdrom For My Xbox

can some1 help me chose a type of dvdrom for my xbox my liteon dvd that i have sucks donkey balls cant play nothing had to do a firmware upgrade to play any dvd's so i just want to know if there are good dvdrom's for xbox.

are you talking about for your xbox or for your pc to burn xbox stuff? im confused...

I heard a specific model of samsung can be used with a firmware upgrade (search for the exact model #)

i know that the sammy 616T is good for the xbox but its very rare to find for a good price i am not paying 100Eur of a dvd drive i just want to know if there are other drives that are good for playin CDR and DVDR DVD and VCD SKVCD SVCD but they dont have to play orginal xbox games. it just form my movies

I'm pretty sure you can use anything in the xbox... the only thing is if you want the xbox eject button to work and for the xbox to control the tray you'll need to modify it to attach to the yellow dvd wires

i know this all but i boght my a liteon dvdrom and it can t read anything good.
if i burn divx on dvd i can only play 1/3 of the dvd and that stinks i modify to work with the yelow wire taken my along time to check al the points what they do. but after i did that and tested some dvds dinīt work so i ask who of you here replaced his dvd with a normal pc dvd and what are your problems..
dont want to buy antoher dvd that is as poor quality as the liteon.
want a good dvdrom.

I use a PIONEER 16x DVD drive (PC DVD Drive) model

It's rated for DVD-R/RW and even DVD-RAM (if anyone cares)

It's my fav PC replacement drive. Sammies are nice when you can get them.. but personally.. for backups purposed.. this drives suits your needs well.
