While I'm not immediately offering to do this install for anyone (only a chosen few at first) many have asked me (and on these forums) where can I get the memory to do this myself...?

Well an answer is easily to hand, and it's cheap, none of this 65Euros for only the chips, or $69 for a dead motherboard that you need to desolder, but 30.

Geforce 4 MX440- T8X 64Mb AGP TV Graphics Card OEM

Okay you'll probably find these cheaper elsewhere, but the 4 chips found on this board are exactly what you need (K4D263238M-QC50)

Simply desolder these, and chuck 'em in your XBOX.

So long as everything has gone well, boot up your AvaLaunch and check the memory now available to you. Just think about how much money you've just saved.

I wouldn't advise this but...

The chips that are supposed to work are as follows:
K4D263238M-QC50 (I've tested this myself and it does)
K4D263238M-QC40
K4D263238D-QC50

All of these by the way are produced by Samsung.

If you were to try and find success you could share your findings, but at 30, it's better not to risk your XBOX MOBO over it. (70 to replace on the cheap)

Maybe try internet searching for comparison tables on this memory, I'm not so technical on that level, I simply came across these chips rather by accident when 'throwing' away old useless hardware, but I know these also exist on one of the Creative varients also.
