I am fairly new to Ava, and really like the dash, but I was one of the unfortunate that upgraded at the wrong time smile.gif

Anyway, since the upgrade, I have not been able to get the dash to boot sad.gif I switched to .60 and no boot, back to .4 and still won't boot. I tried first just the XBE, but I have also deleted everything on F, and started from scratch, still will not boot.

I have 4981 set 1-F:\avalaunch.xbe 2-C:\evoxdash.xbe 3- C:\xboxdash.xbe....

If I rename avalaunch.xbe, or remove it...evox loads, and everything is fine. But I really want avalaunch back smile.gif

any help would be appreciated.

Note: I also have Ava48.4 in F:\apps\ and it loads fine when launched from evox, just not when trying to boot it. Just hangs on the X logo.

are you sure you've got the media folder along with the xbe?

yes, media folder is in the root DIR as well

Is there anything on E drive, or C drive I need to delete, or edit?

You shouldn't need to change anything on C or E if you want to boot from F

Make sure your bios is looking for F:/avalaunch.xbe
Make sure you have a (fully intact) media directory in the root of F:
Make sure you've got an Avalaunch.xml in the root of F:

If you're booting from C or E instead just substitute in for the F's in the three statements above.

Hope this helps a little

k, I am wanting to boot ava from F

I was desperate, and deleted the entire Partition sad.gif

Uploaded copy straight from "the usual places" didn't even configure the XML

Still no boot.

I don't like to reflash, because I have winbond TSOP , but I reflashed anyway, and same result......

Ava just will not boot for me....

I left the screen on while using .55 and it went black after not using for an hour or so. When I rebooted, it just froze. Since that point I have tried every release I have, with no luck.

Fixed biggrin.gif

2 problems existed.

Ealier, I had been using the same XML, which lead to mp3 file with 0byte.

After using fresh install, I had my skiplist enabled on Flashfxp sad.gif

Thanks for trying to help smile.gif
