Well what do you want to do with your xbox?

Do you have a new HDD or are you going to just play games off of DVD's?

If you have a new HDD I would recommend either downloading Slayers auto installer (easy way where you don't learn a thing), or reading alot, try starting with the Total Newb Guide at the top of this forum.

I put a new harddrive in it that was my friends. It already has 22 games on it. When I put a game in the DVD it wants me to flash it again.

Did you put the new Hard Drive in yet?

What happens if you boot with nothing in the dvd drive?

There is absolutely no indication that he does or does not own the games. You assumption is a poor one.

Anyways, edward8579, you should problem look at the tutorial in my signature. It's not real clear exactly what you are trying to do but it should help out.

I'm trying to get to the next step. From what I was reading I should be done and everything should work fine, but it's not. After flashing the bios on switch 4 I went back switch 1,2 and When I turn the xbox back on it is going back to the flash cromwell screen. Everything did flash fine the first time.

Yes the new hard drive is in. When I boot with the origianl it goes to the flash bios screen and it is halted and the DVD ejects.

Are you sure you are booting to the right bank?
