When i disable the mod chip it doesnt work. I have searched and made sure that my hard drive is locked. I have also found things about the d0 and everything but i dont know how that could affect it when the mod chip is off. Please help. I am stumped.

Yep thats what it sounds like. Broken trace. Try to repair it and see if that helps.

also, this is far less common, but if your install was a bit sloppy and you got a solder spill on the tsop (i don't know how this can happen since the tsop isn't very close to any solder points, but i bought an xbox for 50 bucks with a working x2.0 lite where this was the situation) then the spill could bridge a few legs causing it to frag. definately look for solder spills on the tsop and on the traces near the d0, and then if you can't find anything the next thing to look at is if you globbed your d0 to the point where its covering traces around the d0, then if thats not the problem look for a lifted trace.

Or if you dont want to worry about it, get a copy of the ms bios, from the normal place and flash one of your banks with it!!! Then you can always use your mod chip, just switch banks to go from evox to M$!

You can also check your connections, here is a pic to use http://www.consolecu...ges/lpc-alt.jpg
This is a simple way to figure out if your connections are ok\have a cross over some where! Use a multimeter and check the continuity one the lpc points.
Check for shorted out circuits too, you get the point!!!

I was soldering the LPC when the plug was in the back of the Xbox, and i think i did the same for d0 too. I get a "fast frag" on my Xbox. It frags faster then when ur installing a modchip and u dont have LPC installed in right. Im trying to figure out what the issue is!
