If you don't have modified bios, your Xbox by default will boot to xboxdash.xbe. If your dash is something else, you will get an error.

look man this is an easy fix. You have to name the dash xboxdash.xbe you shouldn't have changed it in the first place. But chances are the bios you flashed your chip with are looking for the xboxdash.xbe file not msdash.xbe or whatever the hell you had it called.

B/c when chip is off or if you don't have another dash installed your mod/onboard bios looks for xboxdash.xbe. So if you have it named xboxdash.xbe you should be cool and you should name evo-x evoxdash.xbe once you have it installed in order for that to boot.

Its all about the file names:

MS dash- xboxdash.xbe

evo-x dash- evoxdash.xbe

evo-x dash on boot cd- default.xbe
