I have Counterstrike on DVD+RW, when i put the disk in Evox, it reads it has a game, then Launch DVD loads the game.

I get to the main menu, and go to training and hostage rescue, then my game freezes at the "Loading" screen.

It also does the same for single player on whatever level i choose.

Does anyone else have this problem or even better, a solution

i am 99% certain that the patching worked, i used XBE patcher, and then also ran it through craxtions patcher.

Can you suggest which xbe patcher is the best (i.e. which one will give best success rates on newer games)

Craxtion is the best, in my opinion. I recently burned Unreal II, right before extracting all the files using FlashFXP to my PC, then running Craxtion to patch/create the ISO, and burning it with Nero. Must be your media, so try burning the patched iso to a DVD-R as most drives have trouble reading DVD+Rw.

Does this also overide the media check like the x2 bios ?

If so you wont need to patch games.

so the x2 bios ignores the media check anyway???

Which is the best version of x2 to use, i might try that instead.

The way my xbox is set up at the moment is with the audio exploit, can i just replace the M7 xboxrom.bin with the x2 xboxrom.bin??

Don't worry about it. M7 autopatches as well.

Then that clearly rules out the bios being the problem m8.

Have tried:

- Clearing the cache
- Deleting the profile that is associated with CS
- Set all the IGR's to No

And CS still freezes at the game loading screen. To re-iteterate, i have a softmod using the audio exploit and Evo M7 bios.
I have patched the xbe using craxtion, and the game is on a DVD+RW.

Is it worth using up a DVD+R to see if the media is the problem. Also, if the evo M7 patches xbe on the fly, is it worth using the original XBE.

Any other thoughts would be much appreciated

Regards
