those are the way my chip is and all i get in return is a 3 time shutdown with FRAG
also no video or audio. the chip's LEDs come on but i get this.
i may not be flashing it right. im using X2.1BM (thanks xecuter) and my chip supports 1024k BIOS. so i load 4981.06 to it and save it but it shows up as 256k in 4 banks. is this right or wrong? someone PLEASE point me in the right direction..

Have you checked the LPC points? Sounds like something may be loose. Solder solutions are more reliable if you can do them or find someone to do it for you.

It didn't look like there was anything noticably wrong with the chip in those pics... Also, the chip should of come with a cromwell bios on it, is that still on the chip?

um no.. this chip was given to me by a friend. we installed it in the box.. got error 06. friend said it was a BIOS "compatibility problem" the chip originally had xecuter bios and now im trying to put xecuter 4981.06 on it. but as u can see its not being compliant.

Also, in X2BM is the manager supposed to say 1024 in one bank? or 256k in all 4 banks?
