What exactly came off? Just the solder point itself, or more than that ?

If it's just the solder point, then the top D0 should work.

Failing that, if the thing is still working, you still have one other option... not nice but possible. You could solder a wire directly to the D0 pin on the TSOP itself.

Did you lift a trace or just tear the via pad off? Either way, you may need to solder a wire from the center of the via to the trace. Do you have a multimeter or continuity tester?

I hate to say this to a mod...but isn't there a tutorial on how to repair broken traces on the main page?

almost anything can be repaired...Some might be harder than others though. And I'm not sure if the trace goes anywhere else but why risk it?

I lifted the underside trace, from the D0 point all the way right to where it stops. Flipped it over, and soldered to the original D0 point, and have had no problems, even WITHOUT fixing the broken trace on the underside. Did this Tuesday night, have had it on constantly since then, looping divx movies as a burn in test, no problems so far at almost 48 hours continous. v1.0 box.
