Hi...
I'm rather confused blink.gif about this:

Does the Enigmah modchip support HDD swap, if the new HDD is the same size as the original, or is it completely impossible to replace the original HDD, when having a Enigmah modchip installed?

In case that it is possible to install a new one, does the new one then HAVE to have preciously the same capacity, as the old one, or is it just larger HDD's which the Enigmah doesn't support...???

not even then, in fact not even if your original hd, had a sex change and doesn't work anymore, haha, it's a joke, don't get mad. beerchug.gif

the truth is with the enigmah you can't change the drive no matter what, even if it is the same size. sorry.

it's not actually modchip that allows the hd swap, it's the bios, but since you can't upgrade the bios on the enigmah, there lies the problem. so basically any mod you can upgrade the bios on, (matrix, xecutor 2) would be your best bet. you can swap the hd with some chips like the xecutor 1 but you can't upgrade the bios on that chip, so i would not recommend getting it.
you may be better off trying to sell that xbox and just starting over instead of trying to remove the chip, i don't know guess it depends on how good you are at soldering and desoldering. well g/l beerchug.gif

I'd like to go out on a limb and disagree with everyone here !! huh.gif

OKay, I know technically you can change the HDD with an Enigmah BUT you can use the Enigmah to run EvoXDash and then use this to flash the TSOP.

If you stick EvoX BIOS in the TSOP, you can then swap the HDD over fine.

The only problem is that if it goes wrong during the flash you'll have to buy an LPC chip and will lose XBLive compatibility. (But you can backup your existing TSOP so that it can be put back with certain chips)

Once the TSOP is flashed with the EvoX BIOS you can remove the Enigmah and have no mod chip what-so-ever!

There's a tutotial on the main page about this - but follow the instructions perfectly or you may have to make more mods.

okay, yes you can flash the tsop with the enigmah, and then upgrade the hd if you put a proper bios on the tsop, but the question was can you change the hd with the enigmah, the answer again is no and always will be no.
put this thread to rest already it has been answered completely. beerchug.gif

I'll also go out on a limb and disagree with Cheerio. If he locks the hdd with the correct code, it would work fine with an enigmah. Enigmah's bios doesn't support unlocked drives or the 6th (F) partition. So as long as you lock the drive and don't want to use the extra space, say, if your original went bad, it would work provided you could get the correct hdd key.
