Ok, my xbox won't boot. I was playing it and then I reset it and it stopped working! I know what the problem is, it's the HD. My bros friend had already installed the everything (new 160 GB HD , Chameleon chip, and he already had it flashed to the right settings) I'm about to go get a new HD, but how do I configure where Evox the main dashboard, again? Like I said, everything is all workin, except the HD. Can some1 plz tell me once I get my HD, what I have to do to get evox running, again?

If the modchip is functioning you can boot from a CD-RW with Evox on it... It must be in the Xbox Game Disk Format and evoxdash.xbe must be named to default.xbe on the CD. But once you are booted with the cd you should be able to FTP to it and make the necessary changes. Make sure that evoxdash.xbe and evox.ini is in the C drive. If not just move it from the CD to the xbox and rename it from default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe

*cough* slayers install disk. Keep it simple. No ftp-ing needed. no renaming of files. just boot from disk and format the drive. Will install the most current evox and apps. All the end user needs to do is sit back and watch the install.

FTP-ing and messing with system files confuses many novice installers and could cause greater problems. Gotta remember that.

explain why chon??? Explain to these novice installers why it sucks. It has all the applications needed and is fool-proof. Validate your statements before bashing what you dont know.
