Xsoundtrack Dissapeared, Cant Find/add Music Files
Posted 09 April 2004 - 04:59 AM
i deleted 20 songs to add 20
the new 20 songs I added were .wma files that i ripped from Windows Media Player 9 & this is the 1st time that i chose the recording option to Lossless (which makes the .wma's pretty big, 20 to 40 mb's each)
I added them to the XBox (i ftp them to a folder, then use xcommander to copy the files to the right place which was xsoundtrack)
now all of a sudden, 500 of my songs are gone? or are they? how can I find them?
there's no soundtrack or music files showing up when I look through the regular xbox dashboard & the same result when i look through xcommander r2 g
funny thing is, I cant add anymore music files now, when I try with a CD the regular way, it tells me that I have the maximum 100 soundtracks & wont rip the CD to the xbox, & I cant copy any wma files through xcommander, it says (01.wma cannot be created)
can anyone help me with this? thanks
also, when my xbox boots up now, my xbox used to say Xecuter then go to evox, now it says MS while booting up but it boots to evox & everything works fine (games, apps) exept, now I can't use the (start/select/L/R triggers) to get back to the main menu
help would be greatly appriciated . .thanks
especially for the music part . .80% of why I play half the games are for the custom soundtracks, now I dont have that. I want to delete the large files I added because maybe theyre the problem but I cant find them, in regular ms dashboard, I go to music & only the CD player option appears, they took the music files, the folder, everything , I figured it may have been because of the new files I added but I cant find them to erase them, please help!

2. try s"scan" with xbmc or xbmp...

1. it has 3 switches & I just tried every possible combination for them & no matter what, it keeps saying MS.
2. xbmp doesnt show anything & I dont have xbmc but I'll look 4it now, does it scan the xbox for wma's? anything diffrent from what xbmp does?

2.look under E:\\tdata\\fffe0000\\ for music files
Posted 09 April 2004 - 06:58 AM
1. im looking for this now
2. E:\\tdata\\fffe0000\ - is empty (i searched this directory with xcommander r2 g, boXplorer & avalaunch file manager), which is strange because I cannot add any music files to the HDD
strange little problem indeed
