Hi there,

I'm pretty new in the Xbox scene but it gives me a lot of fun ;-)

Recently I bought an v1.0 Xbox with Thomson DVD drive and had the problem, that selfmade CD-R and DVD+RW support i really poor.
DVD+R and bought CD (audio) are working fine.

Here in Xbox-Scene tutorials I've found the solution for my probs and tried that out with my drive. So I followed the tutorial and worked on the DVD hardware.
And here is the point I realy don't get...

Where do I have to messure the POT? In the tut. is written, that the mesurements are always between THE SCREW and A PIN of the POT.

But whatever I do... there is alway a resistance of 0 Ohm!
When I messure between the LEFT and lower RIGHT Pin I get +/- 1900 Ohm...
I changed that amount to 1500 Ohm but its not going better.

Can anybody explain where I do really have to messure? As I said ... between Screw an any PIN I can't get no usable result.
Maybe some of you can tell me a good amount for the resistance between left und lower right PIN, wich seems to be the only working thing.

Thanx in advance for your help (and this brilliant source of info here),
