I was just reading about hard drives and someone said that if you have a big hard drive say 200gb and fill it with info it can damage the xbox.

Is this true?

Thanks!!

no, if ytou have over 256gb on a sinbgle partition the DATA can become corrupted, but there is no physical damage

this only applies to HDs 300gb and larger, and can be solved by using the F and G partitions

once EIDE HDs get over 400 there will be more problems though

Some hard drives generate more heat than others.. Especially some of the older hard drives. Might become a factor, a small one, but still a point.

Heat Problems can Be solved tho buy putting Port holes on the Drive Carrier and speeding up the fan with a 12v fan mod or puttin in an 80mm fan
