my bios is an st chip, on the chip it says m29f0028t70n1 i'm thinking that i need to add another line of code, or connect the bottom jumper, or solder a wire (i read somewhere that st chips need this). its a brand new xbox, bought this week, and it has a focus chip obviously..

all help would be greatly appreciated!

UNKNOWN DEVICE Read Only??? manf=0x09, dev=0x00
Try adding the device ID to raincoat.cfg

There's is something wrong with your connections, i suggest that you clean off the two top points w/ alcohol and try reapplying the conductive ink, and if at all possible get a soldering iron and solder the two points instead. The extra wire is for sharp tsops not st.

Hi

I also had this problem the first time I tried to flash the tsop... I finally done it by re-soldering each time I got the same error, dunno how... tongue.gif... on the second, I used a sand paper to scratch a bit both connection then soldered it... got it the first time, flashed and working fine...

In other words, it was the soldering.

mrpowerbook345, re-do your connections.
