I have been trying to network my Xbox using FlashFXP and haven't
had any luck. I know that all of the information I need is on this website
so I will figure it out eventually. My only question is this, I have the following:

A PC running windows Win 98se with a network card
An Xecuter modded Xbox working flawlessly
A Belkin Patch Cable
FlasFXP software

Is this everything I need to network. Please let me know so that I am not wasting my time trying to figure this out. Thanks......

Is the Belkin patch cable a crossover?
Make sure you use the same IP on your pc as the IP in the gateway of Evox.ini or whatever dash you are using. Or change the IP in whatever dash you have to the IP that your PC is running.

I had all kinds of problems trying to ftp to my xbox with win98. I would recommend upgrading to at least Win 2000. I connected to my ftp with cuteftp
with win98 began uploading a movie and it just disconnected half way through.
wouldn't allow me to reconnect I just gave up then I installed win 2000. Worked like a charm for a while now I cant log on with 2000. Bought new network cable.
Considering upgrading the Bios, I installed slayer 2.5 but didnt upgrade my bios I believe it is a bug.

I am using a USB modem with an ethernet port.

Thanks for the replies guys... To answer the first question, yes it is definitely
a crossover cable, says it right on the cable. As for switching to Win2000, I really
hate to do that, is it possible with Win 98se? Sounds like it is, I'm only using it
to update my Bios. Perhaps there is a way to update the Bios from a CD-RW?
